“Don’t Be So Hard on Yourself” is a cabaret concert of new songs written by Alex Syiek (featuring guest songwriters Jacob Fjeldheim and Teddy Trice) built around a simple but resonant idea: that we are often our own harshest critics, and that there is real power — and real humor — in learning to sing those harsh words, and letting them go. Syiek and a cast of stunning friends each bring their own voice and perspective to the intimate, funny, and cathartic material. It's an hour spent in the company of people who are all figuring it out together.
