After our production of MORNING by Simon Stephens in September, Egg & Spoon Theatre Collective is back at Shetler Studios for another adventure. This time they are adapting a beautiful Strindberg play, for our intuitive and expanding audience.
In 1901, August Strindberg wrote a fairy tale about a dreamer discovering what it feels like to be human. In 2018, we are setting out to illuminate this fantastical, bizarre journey in an utterly contemporary mode. Agnes, daughter of the gods, descends to earth and experiences the human world in all its beauty, sorrow, and contradiction. Is joy extricable from pain? What can we do to improve our collective experience? Is it possible to live a meaningful life in a messy, nonsensical world? Join us and Agnes in a bedtime story for the millennial age.
