PlaidBird Productions Presents Bird Amongst the Blossom 11/15

PlaidBird Productions and the United Solo Theatre Festival will present "Bird Amongst the Blossom ­ A Tribute to the First Blossom Dearie Songbook" at Theatre Row Theatre's Studio Theatre on Tuesday, November 15th at 9 p.m., featuring Jaye 

Maynard (vocals), Jon Delfin (musical director/piano) and Bill Pace (bass) as part of the 2nd Annual United Solo Festival. Tickets are $18 and are available for purchase at Telecharge.
Singer  Jaye  Maynard  pays  homage  to  the  wisedup  babydoll  jazz  stylings  of  the  late  Blos­som  Dearie,  with  Jon  Delfin  accompanying  her  on  Dearie's  own Yamaha  Clavinova  piano.  
Bill  Pace  plays bass as Maynard interprets "The First Blossom Dearie Songbook," containing songs  written  for  and  by  her  by  Bob  Dorough,  Johnny  Mercer,  Dave  Frishberg  and  of  course Dearie herself.

Dearie was a unique and inimitable singer whose legacy of material is fresh, hip, smart and sassy.  
Maynard styles her show in a midCentury modern cabaret both to entertain­­­and to inform.
