New Victory Adds Tween Playwriting to 2011 Studio Weeks

Today, The New Victory Theater announces the 2011 lineup for New Victory Studio Weeks - kids-only, week-long programs where young people between the ages of 8 and 14 have the chance to uncover new talents, explore new skills and make new friends as they discover the thrill of live performance. Included for the first time is Playwriting Studio Week, which offers kids the opportunity to write and perform in their own play.
New Vic Studio Weeks are staffed by a team of professional Teaching Artists who possess a diverse range of skills, including acting, playwriting, music, puppetry, hip-hop, experimental theater, contemporary dance and circus arts.WHAT: Circus Studio Week10am - 4pm; April 18-22, June 20-24 and July 11-15
Offered three times this season, this week-long session features tumbling, juggling, clowning, theater games and more, culminating in a live performance for friends and family. Ages 8 to 11.*Students in the spring session will also attend an afternoon performance at The New Victory Theater.Playwriting Studio Week
