Shady Grove Coffeehouse is delighted to welcome Anya Hinkle and Libby Weitnauer on Saturday, April 18 at 7:30 PM. Known for their crystalline voices, vivid songwriting, and roots rich blend of bluegrass, folk, and Americana, Anya and Libby bring a captivating stage presence that has earned them national acclaim. Whether delivering a driving fiddle tune or a tender ballad, their music is full of heart, storytelling, and Appalachian soul.

Their show is an intimate exploration of acoustic music rooted in the sounds of Appalachia and seasoned by travels around the globe. Following international tours in Japan, Europe, and across the US over the past year, and Anya’s performance at the Richmond Folk Festival last fall, the duo will bring their surprisingly dynamic range of styles back home in 2026.

Both artists have been awarded prestigious grants for their work: Hinkle was the recipient of the USArtist International grant from the National Endowment for the Arts with her worldgrass trio TANASI in 2025, and Weitnauer was awarded the 2021 Tennessee Arts Commission Grant for her solo project, Sixteen Kings Daughters. ‍The concert begins at 7:30 PM on April 18 at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church, 11105 Cauthorne Road, Glen Allen, VA 23059. Doors open at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $20 in advance; $25 at the door. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge; teens 13-18 are admitted at half price.
