Broadway Bound at Founders Theatre

The Waikato Rivertones, NZ 2011 Champion four part harmony chorus, perform in Hamilton before heading to Denver, Colorado, USA to represent NZ at an International competition.

“Broadway Bound” show will be held in the Founders Theatre on Sunday 30 September at 2pm. The title refers to the “Broadway” package the group is performing on the Denver sage, and is the title of their latest CD. The group’s music ranges from standards, big ballads and classic well known songs , to more modern music by artists such as Queen and Billy Joel, all sung in a cappella harmony.

In 2007 the Rivertones won the champion mid-size harmony chorus title at the Harmony Classic competition in San Antonio, Texas.

Also appearing on the show will be the fabulous Drury Lane dancers and the brilliant, national award winning Hamilton City Brass.
