The Adrienne The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County (@arshtcenter) proudly launches the 11th season of its internationally acclaimed JAZZ ROOTS series with LEONARD BERNSTEIN 100 AND BEYOND, a centennial celebration of one of America's greatest and best-loved music superstars, on Friday, November 9, 2018. The one-night-only tribute to the world-renowned composer, conductor and pianist features performances by vocalists Ann Hampton Callaway and Jon Secada, saxophonist Kirk Whalum, pianist Shelly Berg and the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra.

The world premiere of Havana Music Hall at Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Miami is now on stage. The brand new original musical features Tony Award nominee John Herrera (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) and rising star Linedy Genao (On Your Feet!) headlining the all-latinx cast of nineteen performers. The limited engagement runs through November 18, 2018. Opening night is set for Friday, October 19.
Burt Reynolds Institute To Recognize Veterans With Production Of SHELL OF A MAN

Managing Director Donna M. Carbone announced that the Burt Reynolds Institute will honor veterans with a production of her play Shell of a Man November 15-16-17, 2018. Shell of a Man is based on the life of an actual Vietnam veteran and focuses on the effects of his 45-plus year battle with PTSD. Her goal is to personalize this much talked about but barely understood condition in order to raise awareness of the need for better healthcare for our men and women in uniform.

Lynn University's College of Arts and Sciences today revealed the student cast of the first performance by its new Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in drama program. The B.F.A. in drama is the most prestigious undergraduate degree available for theater students. Lynn's program offers students concentrated theatrical training that prepares them to work professionally in theater, movies and musicals. The program's first production is next week.
