Colleen Smith, Artistic Director of Ballet Palm Beach today announced a partnership with The King's Academy Conservatory of Arts in West Palm Beach, through which the professional dance company will present four major ballets during the 2018-2019 season. The performances will be presented at the Academy's Page Family Center for Performing Arts, located at 8401 Belvedere Road (33411).

The comedy genius, Mel Brooks, adapts his legendarily funny film into a brilliant stage creation - Young Frankenstein! Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced 'Fronk-en-steen') inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced 'Eye-gore'), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. 'It's alive!' he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds.

Pigs Do Fly Productions THE LADIES FOURSOME Returns To Empire Stage - 10/4 - 21

Pigs Do Fly Productions' production of The Ladies Foursome played to consistently full houses when it ran at Empire Stage last March.  The show was such a success that the company's founder and Executive Producer, Ellen Wacher decided to bring 'the ladies' back onto the golf course and let them swing their way through another round!   The show will run from October 4th through October 21st - once again at Empire Stage in Fort Lauderdale.

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County announces the second season of Kitty Hawk, a STEAM-focused (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) program that is part-curriculum, part-performance and all inspiration. Kitty Hawk is a part of the Center's Learning Through the Arts initiative, which reaches nearly 60,000 students annually. The program aims to bridge the STEM gap by integrating the arts through a musical performance, an art-infused curriculum and a series of hands-on workshops for seventh graders in Miami-Dade County. Kitty Hawk kicks off Oct. 1 with two weeks of performances of the musical created by the Center which tells the story of Wilbur and Orville Wright's historic first flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in 1903.

Created and choreographed by Artistic Director of BFLR, Ilisa Rosal, the piece was derived from Bram Stokers' Dracula. It inspired the creation of a potent and vivid Flamenco Ballet, connecting with this timeless material to create a new incarnation of what is probably the most definitive work in this genre.
