Lusia, haunted by vivid memories of her past - struggles to connect with a family she's never known and to believe in the potential of life in a new land. A Shayna Maidel explores family, faith, and forgiveness in the pursuit of a better future. With the promise of promotion dangled before him, Chuck lends the senior executives his place for their extramarital trysts, but he becomes more than a little conflicted when he learns that Fran Kubelik, the object of his affection, is the mistress of his boss, the man who holds the key to both Chuck's flat and his future. In between, Izzy is building a glowing reputation at the swank bookstore where she works and pining for Tyler, a handsome local author. When Izzy's irascible Bubbie brings in Hannah the matchmaker, the emancipated modern young woman recoils from such an outdated way of dating - but Hannah the yenta still has a trick or two left with her old world ways.
