Gurney's LOVE LETTERS, the third production of the inaugural season of the new Alan & Diane Lieberman Theater & the JCAT's 12th season, at the Feldenkreis/Hanono Cultural Center at the Michael-Ann Russell JCC/Sanford L. Ziff Campus in North Miami Beach, Florida. Running from February 6-17, 2019, LOVE LETTERS is directed by JCAT's Artistic Director, Michael Andron. Lighting Design is by Zachary Pitchman, with Costume Design by Carole Barou-Mootoo. The production is presented through the MARJCC's Cultural Arts Department.

Bailey Contemporary Arts (BaCA) begins the celebration Women's History Month and International Women's Day a little early with a dramatic and colorful solo exhibition by Florencia Clement de Grandprey. The local artist has dedicated much of her career to projecting positive and inspiring images of women. Based on the story by Robert Louis Stevenson, the musical follows the kind and passionate Dr. Henry Jekyll who, testing his experimental treatments on himself, accidentally unleashes his inner demons to transform into the degenerate Mr. Hyde. The musical had a record-breaking Broadway run and seen more than 100 global productions with 32 international recordings in 28 different languages.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts today announced that celebrated musician and conductor Yoel Levi will conduct the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra at an upcoming presentation of the Center's Regional Arts Classical Concert Series. Levi is replacing the previously announced Zubin Mehta, who has to withdraw from the Orchestra's current United States tour due to health issues.

Mel Brooks' musical comedy The Producers won a record-setting 12 Tonys in 2001, including Best Musical - the most in the awards' history. It also set the standard for outrageous, in-your-face, politically incorrect humor. Stage Door Theatre will present what Variety's Charles Isherwood called 'a rip-roaring, gut-busting, rib-tickling, knee-slapping, aisle-rolling … good time' musical at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center (LPAC). A drama about an acting troupe performing a controversial play and a world premiere musical about life in Cuba past and present garnered the most nominations for the 43rd annual Carbonell Awards, which honor excellence in theater in South Florida.  Indecent, produced by Palm Beach Dramaworks in West Palm Beach, earned nine nominations, and Havana Music Hall, produced by Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables, earned seven.
