Brightwork newmusic returns to Sierra Madre Playhouse with an eclectic program of game-inspired contemporary chamber music. The program includes works by Cristina Lord, Isaac Schankler, Siobhán Dougall, and Richard An, ranging from a choose-your-own-adventure piece based on Kafka's Metamorphosis to a polyrhythm game titled The Six-Body Problem. The performance features Artistic Director and pianist Aron Kallay alongside ensemble members Sara Andon on flute, Brian Walsh on clarinet, Shalini Vijayan on violin, Maggie Parkins on cello, and Nick Terry on percussion. Audience participation is incorporated throughout the evening, including voting on narrative choices and live on-stage competition.
