For two weeks in July and August, 2012, East Hampton Studio will transform into America's first pop-up dance studio, as the hottest choreographers from Hollywood and Broadway hit the Hamptons for Dance House USA. Audiences may remember Draper from her hit show "thirtysomething" which ran in the late 1980s into the early 1990s. Since her stint as Ellen on the groundbreaking show for which she received an Emmy nomination, Draper has maintained a busy life in the entertainment world.

But as we find in Ivan Menchell's The Cemetery Club, the last production in Lantern Theatre's season, the threesome featured in this dramedy are older women who have all recently lost their husbands. There's Lucille, confident ando utgoing; Ida, dependable and sweet; and Doris, stubborn and loyal.

The official opening night for Polly Draper in MY BRILLIANT DIVORCE, took place last Saturday night at Bay Street Theatre. Geraldine Aron, the playwright for this American Premiere attended the after party in the lobby along with other theatre veterans including Blythe Danner, TEd Hartley and Dina Merrill, John McDaniel, Terrence McNally, Joe Pintauro, Mercedes Ruehl, Sloan Shelton, and Harris Yulin. The show runs now through Sunday, June 24. The production is directed by Matt McGrath, one of Bay Street Theatre's Artistic Associates.
