Tonight, July 13 at 8:00pm, Duke University's award-winning, all male a cappella group The Pitchforks take the stage with special guests, The Hamptones - the WHBPAC's very own a cappella group for teens.

Art Southampton's Nick Korniloff and Pamela Cohen, with Beth McNeill, The McNeill Group and her husband artist Jeff Muhs co-hosted an elegant Summer Soiree to kickoff the upcoming Art Southampton, presented by Art Miami, the premier international contemporary and modern art fair and marketplace for acquiring the finest works of art available in the Hamptons. The by-invitation-only event for young collectors and Art Southampton Host Committee members was held at the Muhs' sprawling Shinnecock Hills aerie in their beautifully landscaped sculpture garden and in their art filled home on July 5. Bare Bones Theater Company presents Martin McDonagh's The Beauty Queen of Leenane for eight performances at 8:00 p.m. todays through Saturdays, tonight, July 11 and July 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20, 2013 and at 7:00 p.m. on Sundays, July 14 and 21, at the Bare Bones Theater, 57 Main St., Northport, N.Y. Set in the mountains of County Galway, the play tells the twisted, darkly comic tale of a lonely woman in her forties, trying to escape from the rule of her aging, cantankerous mother. The WHBPAC Visionary Award is presented to outstanding individuals whose passion, commitment, leadership and wisdom have made a significant impact on the Center. Chairman of the Board Thomas B. Broadway producer and Sag Harbor community local Stewart Lane has been cast as Eronius in Bay Street Theatre's presentation of A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, beginning August 6 and running through September 1. The show stars Peter Scolari with Conrad John Schuck and Jackie Hoffman. The book is by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart with lyrics and music by Stephen Sondheim; music direction by Ethyl Will; and directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge.

Once again, the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is proud to present one of its biggest and most exciting event ever, the Zoppe Italian Family Circus on Thursday, July 25 at 7pm, Friday, July 26 at 7pm, Saturday, July 27 at 2pm & 7pm and Sunday, July 28 at 2pm on the Great Lawn in Westhampton Beach. Audiences across Long Island will see innovative and exciting performances celebrating all puppetry genres as the 'Puppets Take Long Island' Festival launches at the Garden City-based Long Island Children's Museum and Goat on a Boat Puppet Theatre in Sag Harbor. The Festival offers a variety of performances, events, exhibitions and workshops from today, July 8-August 31.

Suffolk County Community College is pleased to announce that The Long Island Shakespeare Festival will offer free public performances of an abridged version of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet during summer 2013. The 13th season performances will be presented, rain or shine, at Suffolk County Community College's Ammerman Campus in Selden. The performances are free to the public and are funded by the Suffolk Community College Association - Ammerman Campus.

In watching 42nd Street at Creative Ministries Performing Arts Center (CM PAC), I couldn't help noticing that it seems the utmost important piece of this show is for the cast, wherever it may be running, be beyond top notch. There is no room for a weak link or it could come off really badly. Indeed, the cast of this Patrick Grossman directed incarnation is fantastic and delivers an energetic show.
