BRIDGING THE GAP: A traveling group exhibition featuring 50 artworks representing 40 artists from Queens, New York. This multi-venue show, curated by LIC Artists, Inc (Long Island City Artists) and Amy Winter, Director Godwin-Ternbach Museum, in collaboration with Flushing Town Hall, reaches out to the varied communities near LaGuardia Community College, Flushing Town Hall, and Queensborough Community College, to highlight and showcase the broad diversity and creativity of Queens' artists.

The Minstrel Players Theatre Company of Northport Village are holding their second One Act Play Festival entitled --- IT HAPPENED ONE ACT - II'. They are coming off their successful Spring staging of 'The Butler Did It, Again!'. Performances will be one weekend only on Saturday, July 27th at 8 P.M and a 3 P.M. matinee performance on Sunday, July 28th at Houghton Hall - Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Main Street in scenic Northport Village. Monty Python's Spamalot, the latest offering from BroadHollow Theatre Company, is indeed well done. This Jason Allyn directed incarnation wonderfully does the Tony winning show justice and the hilariously talented cast left the audience in stitches, even making light of some mishaps that occurred throughout the two act musical.
Bay Street Theatre's Summer Music Camps to Begin 7/22; Space Still Available

Bay Street Theatre is pleased to announce its upcoming Summer Music Theater Camps July 22-26; August 5-9; and August 12-16. The camps are for students aged 8 through 12, and run Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 12:30pm daily at Studio 3 in Bridgehampton. Each week long camp includes many aspects of theatre including improv, vocal instruction, dance and more. This summer's first and last week of camp will be led by instructor Karen Peele Hochstedler, with the middle session's instructor yet to be announced.

This Bastille Day, the little OPERA theatre of ny, in partnership with Socrates Sculpture Park, will present an afternoon of free French opera with LIBERTE, EGALITE, et FRATERNITE. On Sunday, July 14th, at 3:00pm the concert will take place on the Long Island City waterfront at Socrates Sculpture Park, and feature scenes from operas that voice the spirit of the French revolution. Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony award winning musical Into The Woods has long been done since it premiered on Broadway in 1987. It certainly puts a lot of pressure on the cast to breathe new life into the theatre staple. Now playing at Creative Ministries Performing Arts Center (CM PAC), directed by Tim Pappalardo, the cast was up for the challenge and wonderfully delivered.
