This new musical, which retells the classic Disney story from Geppetto's perspective, features the beloved classic songs "When You Wish Upon a Star" and "I've Got No Strings," alongside a host of new songs by Oscar- and Grammy Award-winner and master melodist Stephen Schwartz, tackling timely issues about what it means to be "the perfect child" - and what it means to be "a real father." Join the Blue Fairy, Stromboli and a lively cast of characters as Geppetto journeys beyond the toy shop to discover the meaning of family.

In the third iteration of its Platform series, the Parrish Art Museum presents artist Maya Lin, whose ecologically inspired works exist at the intersection of art, architecture, and environmental science. Platform: Maya Lin, opening July 4 and continuing through October 13, 2014, reveals the artist's exploration of how humans experience and impact the landscape. It will be on view during the Parrish Art Museum's annual gala, the Midsummer Party, on July 12, 2014.

The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts present a FREE concert featuring THE ATLANTIC COMMUNITY BAND. They will be performing Sousa Marches, parade favorites, and Broadway show-tunes in the front of the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts before, during, and after the July 4th parade beginning at 9:30 AM. John Philip Sousa was an American composer and conductor known particularly for American military and patriotic marches such as 'The Stars and Stripes Forever.' Sousa played right here at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts in 1923 and 1924.

A portion of proceeds from SoLuna Studio's upcoming production of RENT will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This brand-new fresh take on the classic Broadway musical will run from July 11th - 27th. Performances will be held on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Bay Street Theater is pleased to announce BLACKOUT at Bay Street, a late night immersive cabaret. Doors will open immediately after the Mainstage show, at approximately 10:30 pm, with the cabaret performances beginning at 11 pm. The first weekend this summer is Friday and Saturday, August 8 and 9 with THE SKIVVIES. The second weekend this summer is Friday and Saturday, August 22 and 23 with THE BAY STREET MUSICAL CABARET. BLACKOUT is complimentary if you are attending My Life Is A Musical on these evenings. A $15 cover charge will apply to all walk-ins.
