Known as the "King of Waltz," André Rieu returns to the Orleans Arena with his Celebration of Music Tour, Tuesday, November 30 at 7:30 p.m.

A Dutch violinist, conductor and showman, Rieu, who has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, has said of this tour, "I always say that music is the most wonderful thing in the world. Music triggers emotions. I want to bring an ode to waltzes and polkas that bring joy, to romantic ballads and to many more beautiful melodies. It will be a very special night."

Encouraged by his father, a symphony conductor, Rieu began violin lessons at the age of 5. Rieu's training eventually took him to the Royal Conservatory of Brussels where he was awarded the Premier Prix. In 1978 he formed the Johann Strauss Orchestra, which has grown from 12 to nearly 50 members.

André Rieu holds the No. 8 position in Pollstar's top 10 list of worldwide touring acts, a major accomplishment for a classical artist. A testament to his international appeal, Rieu topped the Australian charts in 2008, surpassing the Australian Idol and Madonna for the No. 1 album.

Reserved seating tickets are now on sale, and are priced at $41, $77, $101 and $141, inclusive of tax and fees. Tickets are available online at www.orleansarena.com, by calling 702.284.7777, or by visiting any Coast Casinos Box Office or the Galleria Mall ticket outlets.
