Born into a musical family in County Galway, Frankie was something of a child prodigy. In 1974 he founded he group DeDannan. He played with the Rolling Stones, has worked with French violinist, Stephane Grappelli and, as if to emphasise his versatility, has also performed with the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra.
