Based on a hundred year old poem, Bumi Purna Indonesia and Ciputra Artpreneur will bring the bombastic yet poignant UNDER THE VOLCANO to Jakarta on August 27. The production will run twice, starting at 16.00 and 20.00, at the Ciputra Artpreneur Theater.

Indonesia's growing musical theater scene is finally ready for our own version of BroadwayCon - or, at least, that's what the people behind Festival Musikal Indonesia (FMI) believe. INE AYA' - SUARA SAMAR RIMBA ('the Forest's Faint Sound') is a new opera by Balaan Tumaan Ensemble & World Opera Lab. The opera's story is centered around the deforestation of Borneo.

On August 11th, 2022, the Breaking Barriers Initiative (or 'Inisiatif Mendobrak Batas' in Indonesian) was launched through a media gathering in Cikini, Jakarta.
