Dorothy: sweet, warm, lonely, young midwestern farm girl - between the ages of 12 & 18
Scarecrow: extremely limber, eccentric song and dance man
Tinman: warm and romantic crooner - tap dancing is a plus, but not required
Lion: Vaudevillian comedian
Aunt Em/Glinda the Good Witch: weather beatin' farmers wife & pioneer woman who can then be double cast as a loving, glowing, high soprano
Miss Gultch/Wicked Witch of the West: uptight, nervous, rich and pious woman who can double as the Wicked Witch of the West
Uncle Henry: easy going, hard working farmer
Professor Marvel/Wizard of Oz: articulate con-man who knows how to turn a phrase and spin serious yarn
