MALE ENSEMBLE - TOMMY/JIMMY Cover (Male, White, 30 years old) A strong dancer to cover the roles of TOMMY and JIMMY. TOMMY is a bouncer with Italian roots. JIMMY is from an Irish background. Determined to get a break in the music business. Tenor voice and plays piano.
MALE ENSEMBLE – JESSE/LUIS Cover (Male, Black AND Latine, 30s) A strong dancer to cover the roles of JESSE and LUIS. JESSE plays the trumpet brilliantly and is just waiting to catch his first break. A strong singer. Note: Actors do NOT need to be able to play the trumpet.
FEMALE ENSEMBLE – SOPRANO/OPERA (Female, Black, 20s-30s) A strong soprano singer. Sings an opera feature. Will potentially cover principal tracks.
FEMALE ENSEMBLE – SOPHIA COVER (Female, Latine, 30s) A strong dancer to cover the roles of SOPHIA. SHOPIA is Mateo’s mother. A strong singer and comfortable speaking Spanish.
FEMALE ENSEMBLE (Females, 20s-30s, all ethnicities) A strong singer/dancer/tapper.
MALE SWING (Male, White, 40s) A strong singer/dancer/tapper.
MALE SWING – JIMMY/ALEX Cover (Male, White, 20s-30) A strong dancer to cover the roles of JIMMY and ALEX. JIMMY is from an Irish background. Determined to get a break in the music business. Tenor voice and plays piano. ALEX is a Polish violin virtuoso. A strong singer. Note: Actors do NOT need to be able to play the violin.
