redemption after nineteen years of imprisonment. Compassionate, physically imposing, and morally resolute as he struggles to outrun his past. Vocal Range: Baritone (A2–G4)

Javert: (Male/Masc, 35–60), A relentless police inspector whose unwavering devotion to law ultimately leads to his downfall. Powerful, disciplined, and intimidating. Vocal Range: Baritone/Bass-Baritone (F2 – F#4)

Fantine: (Female/Femme, 20–35), A factory worker forced into desperate circumstances to support her daughter. Tender, resilient, and tragic. Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano (A3–Eb5)

Cosette: (Female/Femme, 18–25), Fantine's daughter, raised by Valjean after a difficult childhood. Gentle, intelligent, and hopeful. Vocal Range: Soprano (Bb3–C6)

Young Cosette: (Female/Femme, 8–12), Timid but imaginative child mistreated by the Thénardiers. Vocal Range: Child Soprano (A3–D5)

Éponine: (Female/Femme, 18–30), The Thénardiers' daughter who secretly loves Marius despite knowing her feelings are unreturned. Streetwise, vulnerable, and fiercely loyal. Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano (F3 – E5)

Young Éponine: (Female, 8–12), The spoiled young daughter of the Thénardiers who grows up alongside Young Cosette. While Cosette is neglected and mistreated, Éponine is indulged by her parents, providing an early glimpse of the stark differences between the two girls' childhoods. Marius Pontmercy: (Male/Masc, 20–30), An idealistic student revolutionary who falls deeply in love with Cosette. Earnest and romantic. Vocal Range: Tenor (A2–Ab4)

Enjolras: (Male/Masc, 20–35), Charismatic leader of the student revolutionaries. Noble, passionate, and unwavering in his convictions. Vocal Range: Tenor/Baritone (B2–G4)

The Bishop of Digne: (Male/Masc, 50–80), A compassionate bishop whose mercy changes Valjean's life forever. Vocal Range: Baritone (A2–E4)

Thénardier: (Male/Masc, 35–60), An unscrupulous innkeeper and con artist who survives through wit and opportunism. Comic villain. Vocal Range: Character Baritone (D3–G4)

Scarecrow: (Male/Masc, 20–40), A lovable dreamer convinced he lacks intelligence despite consistently showing wisdom and creativity. Energetic physical comedian. Vocal Range: Tenor (C3–A4)

Tinman: (Male/Masc, 25–45), Gentle and compassionate soul who believes he has no heart. Warm, soulful performer with strong comedic instincts. Vocal Range: Baritone (A2–F4)

Lion: (Male/Masc, 20–45), Outgoing and humorous lion searching for courage. Must balance comedy with genuine vulnerability. Vocal Range: Tenor (C3–A4)

The Wiz: (Open Gender, 35–65), The mysterious ruler of Oz whose larger-than-life image conceals an ordinary person. Charismatic and commanding. Vocal Range: Baritone or Alto (A2–F4)

Addaperle: (Female/Femme, 35–65), The Good Witch of the North. Eccentric, lovable, and delightfully scatterbrained, yet genuinely magical. Vocal Range: Soprano/Mezzo (C4–F5)

Evillene: (Female/Femme, 30–60), The Wicked Witch of the West. Fierce, intimidating ruler of the Winkies with a powerhouse gospel voice. Vocal Range: Alto/Mezzo (G3–Eb5)

Glinda: (Female/Femme, 30–60), The Good Witch of the South who guides Dorothy toward self-discovery. Regal, compassionate, and inspiring. Vocal Range: Soprano (Bb3–F5)

Aunt Em: (Female/Femme, 40–65), Dorothy's loving but practical guardian whose wisdom frames Dorothy's journey. Often doubles with Glinda. Vocal Range: Alto/Mezzo (G3–D5)

Ensemble: (Any Gender, 18+), Citizens of Oz portraying a variety of colorful characters including Poppies, Kalidahs, Emerald City residents, and other magical beings.
