SYNOPSIS
Adapted to the stage by Hansol Jung with original music by Bruno Coulais and Kila, with Seimi Campbell at the helm as director, the project will be a live retelling of an animated film of the same title. SONG OF THE SEA is Cartoon Saloon's three-time Oscar nominated trilogy - falling between The Secret of Kells (2009) and Wolfwalkers (2020). A richly animated tale of Celtic magic and folklore, it tells the story of Ben and his little sister Saoirse – the last Seal child – who embark on a fantastic journey across a fading world of ancient legend in an attempt to return to their home by the sea.
Note from Team: Though this story takes place in Ireland, it is our intent to create a piece that is truly reflective of the world around us. We welcome actors of all ethnicities to attend this call. All actors should have a great sense of imagination and play.
