SEEKING
SAM: He/Him. A brave, open-minded young boy with a profound love for reading. SAM has a vivid imagination that informs his view of the world. Though he seeks connection through his stories, he is comfortable in solitude. As the journey progresses for SAM, he learns the value of letting others into that sacred quiet. Guitar and percussion skills are a plus, but not required.
PETUNIA: He/Him. A bashful and passionate dragon who's learned to hide the things that make him special. Deeply nervous but inquisitive, PETUNIA is a gentle soul with a deep love for poetry and nature. As the journey progresses for PETUNIA, he learns the importance of standing up and holding space for one's self. Guitar and percussion skills are a plus, but not required.
ST. GEORGE: He/Him. Widely regarded as the bravest knight in Gashoch, ST. GEORGE is a pompous and self-righteous pretender. He has fooled the world into believing in his bravery, though his opportunistic perspective has shielded his true self, a devoted thespian. As ST. GEORGE's journey progresses, he learns to let his innermost passions shine past what is expected of him. Guitar skills required.
MOM / SQUIRE / VILLAGER: As MOM - A warm and supportive presence in Sam's life, who is quick to Sam's defense. MOM inspires Sam to step outside of his comfort zone, and reminds those around her to operate from a place of compassion. MOM is especially hardworking, as she is responsible for raising Sam without the presence of a father and maintaining their plot of land. As SQUIRE - A loyal attendee of St. George. As VILLAGER - A bubbling chorus of fools. Guitar, percussion, and kalimba skills required.
SHEPHERD / SQUIRE / VILLAGER: As SHEPHERD - Motivated by fear and misconceptions, SHEPHERD is a judgmental and harsh old man. His prejudices bubble to the surface through paranoid ramblings and loudly denouncing those who are different. Serving as the mouthpiece of the village, the SHEPHERD's journey begins from a place of steadfast denial, but softens as he learns that his fear is motivated by mistruths. As SQUIRE - A loyal attendee of St. George. As VILLAGER - A bubbling chorus of fools. Percussion or kalimba skills required.
