Seeking:

Some roles will be understudied.

Charlie Price (Tenor C3-B4) – A leading man in his 20’s; he is privileged, but likeable his father owns the shoe factory; he is handsome and loveable but there is a temper right under his skin; has a great rock voice and is a great mover.

Lola/Simon (Tenor C3-B4) – An emotionally and physically challenging role that requires the soul of a Diva, a la Whitney Houston; has a star presence and feels comfortable wearing everything from full glamour as a scene-stealing drag performer to nothing but boxing trunks; has a killer voice with power blues and gospel chops; Ethnicity: Black / African Descent.

Don (Baritone C3-F4) – Lola's nemesis. Burly hypermasculine bear of a factory worker with a menacing physicality.

Nicola (Mezzo-Soprano Bb3/Gb5) – Charlie's long-term girlfriend; sophisticated looks; she is a social climber, driven and uncompromising; she knows what she wants and goes for it; has a great pop voice.

Lauren (Mezzo-Soprano Bb3/Gb5) – quirky (not glamorous like Nicola) working-class girl who works in the shoe factory; funny and smart but has had bad luck with men; terrific comedic chops.

The Angels (Tenor C3/A4) – The drag performers who populate The Blue Angel Nightclub. The angels are an integral part of the show with big personalities. Sing and dance in full drag with heels. There will be opportunities to understudy principal roles as well.

Ensemble (All vocal ranges, 20s-40s) – Excellent pop/rock singers; they will cover featured ensemble roles. Factory workers, pub patrons, etc.; factory workers look like real, everyday people and are able to move very well. There will be opportunities to understudy principal roles as well.
