Breakdown

Available Adult roles for How I Became a Pirate:

Braid Beard (M): The pirate captain – a man of girth with a “braided beard” oh his chin.
Swill the Pirate (M or F): Slight build with wire-rim eyeglasses – philosophical – intellectual – who gets blamed for everything that goes wrong

Sharktooth the Pirate (M): Foreboding – scowling grin – wears a patch on one eye – but really, he’s a “sensitive guy”

Pirate Pierre (M or F): The ship’s cook – speaks with a French accent – enjoys fine French cuisine

Max the Pirate (M or F): Wears a stuffed Parrot on her/his shoulder – but no one has the heart to tell her/him that it’s not real.

Pirate Seymour Braunschwagger (M or F): A typical Pirate First Mate

Pirate Scurvy Dog (M): A typical Pirate Second Mate – with a tendency to “bark”

Available Adult roles for Peter Pan: (this is the original 1954 Broadway version)

Captain Hook/Mr. Darling: The one-handed captain of the Jolly-Roger. Relentless and restless in his pursuit of Pan, Hook is short-fused and ridiculous. He is a larger than life villain. A bit of a grouch, Mr. Darling is a professional who happens to be a father. Though sparkles of his love peak through from time to time, he often has places to go and people to see. Male, 30-50 yrs old. Range: C#3 - F#4

Mrs. Darling: The Darling matriarch. Mrs. Darling glides about gently but swiftly from task to task with motherly precision. She has a pleasant strength to her demeanor. Female, 25-45 yrs old. Range: D4 - C5

Smee: Captain Hook’s knockabout lackey. An archetypical evil side-kick, Smee might be a bit rotund and is definitely dwarfed by Hook. Should be portrayed by an actor with physical comedy chops. Male, 28-48 yrs old. Range: D3 - F#4

Tiger Lily: A striking Native American princess, Tiger Lily is a tough girl and an excellent dancer. She should command the stage when taking it and move about it as would mist. Female, looks 14-17 yrs old. Range: Ab3 - C5
