More info on preparation:
Monologue (required): Please prepare one monologue, not to exceed 2 minutes in length. Your monologue does not need to be from a children’s show, but monologues with particularly adult themes will not be very helpful for us to see.
Song (not required):
If you are interested in being considered for musicals or shows with music, please prepare 32 bars or about 60 seconds of any song (musical theatre or non-musical theatre) - either a Capella or self-accompanied on piano or your own instrument (guitar, etc.). A keyboard will be available in the audition room for you to use. If you play a different instrument, please bring with you. For our production of “Me…Jane,” many of the performers will be accompanying themselves during the performance.
Additional Material (not required):
If you would like to share another short piece or skill with us, that would be great. Some examples: a short moment of puppetry, physical performance, playing an instrument, poetry, or examples of something you teach as a teaching artist. This is not in any way necessary, but feel free to share with us if you would like.
