Delaware Theatre Company has announced the five winning plays in the 2022-2023 Delaware Young Playwrights Festival!   

Possum Point Players' 50th anniversary season continues with the Award-Winning Broadway Musical, BIG RIVER: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Performances run March 24-April 2.

Wilmington resident and theatre veteran Gerri Weagraff comes to The Playhouse as the Dowager Empress in the national tour of ANASTASIA. Six performances from February 9 – 12. Music and lyrics are by the award-winning team of Flaherty and Ahrens (RAGTIME, SUESSICAL THE MUSICAL and ONCE ON THIS ISLAND) with a book written by Broadway legend Terrance McNally.

The winners have been announced for the 2022 BroadwayWorld Delaware Awards, honoring the best in regional productions, touring shows, and more which had their first performance between October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

Delaware's Possum Point Players have announced optional Information Meetings and Auditions for their spring musical 'BIG RIVER: THE ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN,' with music and lyrics by Roger Miller, book by William Hauptman, and directed for the Possum Point Players by John H. Hulse, with musical direction by Diane Trautman, and choreography by Deni Robinson.

Lorraine Leavel of Milford was the winner of the Possum Point Players Christmas Possum Raffle. The Possum, a handmade, stuffed animal, was created by Louise Hartzell, of Georgetown, one of the original PPP founding members who has made many over the 50 years the PPP has been performing.

One Man, Two Guvnors comes to Delaware Theate Company in February 2023! The play is written by Richard Bean, based on Servant of Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni, with songs by Grant Olding, and directed By Bud Martin.

After a stellar run of showstoppers and extraordinary, electric entertainment in 2022, Candlelight returns to the seasonal theme of sentimental and saccharine with Irving Berlin’s WHITE CHRISTMAS The Musical. Sentimentality and nostalgia are good. And, the venue is to be applauded for staging this show. It’s good box office. IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMA at Candlelight Music Theatre.

Starting a year of favorite plays from 50 years of community theatre, Possum Point Players will open the holidays with a reprised production of “Irving Berlin's White Christmas.” Overwhelming ticket sales have led to an added Saturday, December 10th matinee at 2PM.

The producers of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards® including Best Musical, and The Grand announced that single tickets will go on sale Thursday, November 17 at 10am.
