About this studio
Visceral Dance Center at 3121 N Rockwell in Chicago is the school arm of Visceral Dance Chicago, the contemporary dance company founded by artistic director Nick Pupillo. The center teaches dancers from 18 months to adult in a facility with six studios and a convertible performance theatre. The Youth Program runs from Mini Movers for ages 18 months to 6, which focuses on coordination, creativity and social skills, through a five-level youth training track for ages 7 and up that accommodates both recreational students and those aiming higher. Three youth companies serve dancers from age 6 to pre-professional level, including the Inside Out hip hop crew, and there is a Studio Company for ages 12-18 and a Trainee Program for ages 18-25. The Adult Program offers beginner through professional level classes seven days a week. Faculty are working professional dancers.
