Aerial Dance Chicago is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit contemporary dance company and school based at 4028 West Irving Park Road in Chicago. Founded in 1999, it has spent more than 25 years bringing aerial dance performance, original choreography and instruction to the Chicago area, and describes itself as a contemporary dance company in flight. The school teaches both youth and adults at all levels, with entry-level classes such as Beginning Fabric, Sling Dance and Adult Beginning Ballet that require no previous experience, Youth Ballet for ages 10 and up, and a Youth Dance Ensemble for more committed young dancers. The organization also auditions dancers for its performing company and takes bookings for aerial performances, supplying its own rigging and a portable rig for client venues.
