773 Dance Project

773 Dance Project is a Chicago-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dance company founded by Executive Artistic Director Tyler Thompson, who trained at Hyde Park School of Dance, the Chicago Multi-Cultural Dance Center and Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts. She is joined by Co-Executive Artistic Director Pauline Mosley, a Chicago native and Alonzo King LINES Ballet BFA graduate. The organization's mission is to increase accessibility to concert dance in underserved communities through performance, arts education and community engagement, offering local and affordable concerts and free programming so that marginalised communities are treated as primary audiences rather than outreach targets. Alongside its repertory, which includes works such as Heft and Gettin' Out, the company offers dance classes, community events including a dancewear giveaway, studio space rental, and is governed by a Chicago-based board of directors.
