Arthur Murray Dance Studio Chicago is a ballroom and social dance studio at 116 W Illinois St. in Chicago's River North area, part of the international Arthur Murray franchise and one of nine affiliated Chicagoland locations (including Schaumburg, Glenview, Naperville, Lakeview, Lincolnshire, Merrillville, Oakbrook Terrace and Orland Park). The studio teaches adults, both singles and couples, and states that no partner is needed. Certified instructors work step-by-step at each student's own pace through private lessons, group classes and practice parties. Programs are organized around singles and couples lessons, salsa, wedding first-dance packages, social dancing and a competitive hobby-dancer track. New students are offered a discounted introductory first lesson and consultation, and gift certificates are sold.
