The Princeton Ballet Society

Princeton Ballet School is the official school of American Repertory Ballet, a professional classical and contemporary ballet company in New Jersey. Founded in 1954 by Audree Estey, the non-profit school has been training dancers for over 70 years and is known for its faculty and its commitment to live musical accompaniment in class. Teaching is organized in divisions: a Children's Division starting at age 2.5 with Pre-Ballet and Foundation levels through age 7, Lower School for ages 8-12, Upper School levels 4-8 for pre-professional training, and a two-year Trainee Program certified to enroll international students on F-1 visas. Elective classes add contemporary, lyrical, flamenco and tap, and open drop-in classes run at beginner to advanced level for ages 13 through adult. The school also offers private and semi-private coaching, adaptive health and wellness classes, summer intensives and children's camps, and more than 20 theatre performances a year. Classes are held in Princeton and New Brunswick.
