About this studio
Across the Floor opened in 1996 and has spent close to thirty years bringing performing arts training to the Woodbridge, New Jersey community from its studio on Main Street. The school describes itself as more than a dance academy: alongside dance it offers gymnastics, voice lessons, musical theatre and audition preparation, and fitness classes, and it says its aim is to build self-confidence, poise, discipline and concentration as well as technique. Programs run from Mini-Movers for two- and three-year-olds and pre-K classes for ages three to five through school-age levels and adult classes, with both full-season fall classes and shorter six-week sessions. Students are welcomed at any level, from a first class to advanced training, and trial classes can be booked online.
