About this studio
NrityaKala Dance Academy has operated since 1996 at 20 Tanner Drive, Princeton, New Jersey, under the motto Keeping the Culture Alive. It is an Indian dance school specializing in Bharat Natyam, folk and Bollywood dance, led by dance guru Bina Master, a Bharat Natyam dancer and choreographer, and emphasises personalised attention for each child from beginner to advanced. Bharat Natyam is taught as the foundation from which other styles can be learned, while Bollywood and fusion classes follow current film choreography and folk classes cover forms such as Bhangra, Garba, Rajasthani folk and Lavani. Students perform at annual recitals and events across New Jersey, and the studio also choreographs for weddings and other occasions.
