Dance Discovery

Dance Discovery is an Austin, Texas dance school operating two studios - its Central Austin location (Dance Discovery) and Avery Ranch Dance & Music in north-west Austin - plus classes delivered on site at daycares and schools across Central Texas, including Stepping Stone Schools, Abacus Schools of Austin and Leander, Green Sprout Preschool, Magellan International School and Grace Garden Preschool. Austin Family Magazine readers have voted it Best Place to Learn Dance in Austin for the past 15 years, and it won the Dance Studio Owners Inner Circle 2025 Studio of the Year award. Classes are organized into age bands: Excite for age 2, Discover for ages 3-4, Imagine for ages 5-6, Empower for ages 7 and up, Progression for ages 9 and up and Evolution for teens, alongside a parent-and-child class and adult classes. Styles taught include ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, pom, acro, leaps and turns and drill team prep. The studios also run performance companies and teams, a Disney troupe, open Nutcracker auditions, summer camps, parents' day out, pop-up classes and private and semi-private lessons, with annual recitals at both locations. Free trial classes are offered.
