Ballet Austin is a non-profit professional ballet company and dance school at 501 W. 3rd Street in downtown Austin, Texas, led artistically by Stephen Mills and reaching over 85,000 people a year through performances, training, wellness and community programs. Its season mixes classics such as Giselle and The Nutcracker with Mills' original full-length works. The Ballet Austin Academy enrols students from 15 months to 18 years across four divisions at two Austin locations and runs a summer intensive. Separate adult Dance & Fitness and Pilates programs offer drop-in classes, workshops, private lessons, on-demand video and Active Aging classes for ages 50+, plus an annual free day of dance. Education work includes school shows.
