Strauss's Elektra, originally recorded live at the Winspear Opera House in February 2024, follows Elektra as she plots revenge against her mother for her father's murder, culminating in a violent reckoning when her brother Orest returns. Conducted by Emmanuel Villaume, the 100-minute production stars Marjorie Owens in the title role, alongside Angela Meade, Jill Grove, and Alfred Walker. The production is directed by Sir David McVicar with set and costume design by John Macfarlane.
