Second Thought Theatre hosts the first public reading of BOOTH, the brand new play by Walters with story and research assistance from Erik Archilla about the man behind one of the most tragic assassinations in American history. The reading will take place tonight, December 9 at 7:30pm in Bryant Hall on the Kalita Humphreys Campus. Immediately following the reading, KERA's Jerome Weeks will lead a conversation with Walters, Archilla and members of the cast and audience about the play.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced the cast and creative team for the Company's newest education initiative, The Tom Sawyer Project. This program involves local high school students in their own production of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer which WaterTower Theatre is producing January 24 - February 16, 2014. The cast will be comprised of students from W.T. White High School, Booker T. Washington Performing Arts High School and homeschooled students.

Amphibian Stage Productions announced today that it will present its outreach troupe, Tad-Poles (formerly Jumbies Fort Worth), at The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth on Saturday, November 23 for a free public performance of Tad-Poles: Mexico 2013 in the lobby from noon to 1 pm. The show, presented in conjunction with The Modern's exhibit titled Mexico Inside Out: Themes in Art since 1990, will include costumes, storytelling, dance and live music depicting Aztec and Maya gods as well as typical dances and music of the state of Veracruz. The performers will also showcase the beauty of the Tango as performed on stilts.
