Columbus Children's Theatre (CCT) will present Grease tonight,  July 30-August 16, 2015 at Park Street Theatre located at 512 Park Street.
Drexel Theatre Added to National Register of Historic Places

The Drexel Theatre, Columbus' non-profit, 1930s Art Deco cinema, has officially been added to the National Register of Historic Places as a historic place worthy of preservation. Selected as a historic building contributing to the community's recreation and culture, the Drexel is only the fifth site in Bexley to be honored with this national designation. The National Register recognition allows the Drexel Theatre to apply for state and federal historic tax credits in the fall to use towards 2016 renovations.
CCT to Host 2nd Annual College Preparatory Program Showcase, 8/7

This summer, Columbus Children's Theatre (CCT) is hosting its second annual College Preparatory Program. On August 7, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. the College Prep students will present their final showcase at CCT's Park Street Theatre, 512 Park St. Columbus, OH 43215. This performance will be a selection of songs, scenes, and monologues from various styles and eras of theatre and is free to attend. Directed by Wright State Associate Professor of Acting and Musical Theatre, Greg Hellems, the showcase will be the culmination of four weeks of hard work by the students in this program.

The owner of her dingy hotel kidnaps young girls to sell to the Far East; her wealthy boss is slow in proposing marriage; and the man she actually falls in love with does not have a dime to his name -or so he tells her.

'Temperamentals' was a code word for homosexuals in the early 1950s, part of a created language of secret words that gay men used to communicate. The Temperamentals tells the story of two men - the communist Harry Hay and the Viennese refugee and designer Rudi Gernreich - as they fall in love while building the first gay rights organization along with Chuck Rowland, Bob Hull, and Dale Jennings, in the pre-Stonewall United States. It is a true story. This production is lovingly dedicated to the memory of Barbara Sokol.

Linda Roth returns for another memorable cabaret. Linda's appearances in Follies, Sunset Boulevard, The Great One and as the spirited Trudy in last year's Christmas at Lazarus, make her a favorite performer at Short North Stage. So have her several cabarets, most recently 'The Apple Doesn't Fall' with Johnny Steiner and her daughter Allison. We are delighted to welcome her back as she takes her audience through an evening of some of her most embarrassing moments. Maybe This Time she can redeem herself!
