Beck Center for the Arts presents The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein, July 11 through August 17, 2014 on the Mackey Main Stage. Nominated for three Tony Awards and awarded Best Musical by the Outer Critics Circle, this monstrously entertaining musical comedy is based on Mel Brooks' parody of classic horror movies. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are now on sale.

The musical, with Book by Dick Scanlan and Richard Morris, and new music by Jeanine Tesori, and based on the Julie Andrews movie of the same name, is the perfect theatre outing for a young performer, theatre newbie, and anyone who could use an honest-to-gooness laugh (or two).

June is bustin' out all over with a series of four special cabaret concerts taking place in the intimate Alma Theater nestled in the heart of Cain Park. Cleveland Metropolitan School District Presents 15th Annual City Musical as RENT This Weekend

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) will present its fifteenth annual All-City Musical, RENT to crown the District's 2013-14 series of All-City Arts Programming. The production features the talents of over fifty CMSD students from across the District and will take place on the stage of the Ohio Theatre at PlayhouseSquare, this weekend, May 30 - June 1, 2014. Tony Sias, Director of Arts Education for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, co-directs the production with the CMSD All-City Arts Program's Managing Director, Kimberly Brown.

Co-produced with Alliance Theatre and Arena Stage, CPH audiences will be dazzled by this infectious production, which brings the history of American tap to life. Directed by Tony-nominee Jeff Calhoun (Newsies) and featuring contemporary tap icons The Manzari Brothers and music from the all-female big band The Diva Orchestra, Tappin' Thru Life will dance its way onto PlayhouseSquare's Allen Theatre stage for an extended run from today, May 30 - June 29.
