A Christmas Carol, the classic Christmas tale of a greedy humbug's last-minute redemption, ushers in the holiday season at Hershey Area Playhouse starting December 5, 2013! This original musical, based on the Charles Dickens novel, is written by Lancaster theatre veteran, Barry Kornhauser. With over 30 years of involvement with the Fulton Theatre and scores of awards, Kornhauser's works have taken the local playwright to the White House, Tony Award-winning stages, the Kennedy Center, and more.

Elisabeth will be performing "The Sounds of Christmas" with the Carolian Brass at the Majestic Theater, Gettysburg PA on Sunday December 15 at 3:00p.m. Ring in the holiday season with festive sounds of your favorite seasonal music from classical to sacred to pop. The evening's highlight will be a medley from The Sound of Music wherein the guitar solo of Edleweiss flows into extraordinary renditions of Stille Nacht.

It is that time of year when the holiday shows are beginning in theatres all over the country. Some shows put us in the holiday spirit by singing catchy tunes such as "Holly Jolly Christmas" or "Frosty the Snowman." Others tell classic tales such as A Christmas Carol or 'Twas the Night before Christmas. In addition, some shows remind us about the true meaning of Christmas by telling the story of the First Christmas. The 2013 CHRISTMAS SHOW: THE FIRST NOEL at American Music Theatre does all of this, and they do it well.

This vividly written, moving and very funny tale will be presented by Open Stage of Harrisburg November 29 to December 29, 2013 and is the second play in Season 28 at the professional theatre located at 223 Walnut St, on the Street level of the Walnut Street Garage in Downtown Harrisburg. This production will be a Northeast Premier of A CHRISTMAS MEMORY, which was created by dramatist Duane Poole, composer Larry Grossman and lyricist Carol Hall (The Beast Little Whorehouse in Texas). Open Stage Executive Artistic Director Donald L. Alsedek directs the production.
