Jason Robert Brown Comes to Lancaster, 3/29
Broadway composer Jason Robert Brown will appear live in concert in Lancaster. Brown is also set to host a master class at the Trust Performing Arts Center, 37 N Market Street, Lancaster, Pa., on March 29. Master Class at 2pm; Concert at 7:30pm.
MASTER CLASS Join Jason Robert Brown (JRB) to observe a three-hour master class for actors and singers on music theater repertory, focusing on improving musicality, clarifying dramatic choices, and understanding song structure.
Those wishing to work with JRB 'on-stage' during the master class (as one of six) must submit the following elements via email to info@primatheatre.com by March 8 for consideration: a) headshot/recent photograph; b) list of two possible songs that they will be prepared to work on at the session; and c) re?sume? of some kind explaining experience as an actor and academic/artistic concentration. PRiMA encourage interested peoples to register to observe first.
LIVE IN CONCERT Every year to date, PRiMA has produced a musical by contemporary Broadway composer Jason Robert Brown. Mr. Brown is the composer behind Parade, Songs For A New World, The Last Five Years and new Broadway shows including Bridges of Madison County and Honeymoon In Vegas.
PRiMA audiences have fallen in love with his amazing compositions and now PRiMA brings you the master composer himself. Jason Robert Brown takes the stage, sharing behind-the-scenes stories and presenting a concert of his compositions.
