YouTube Orders Adventure Competition Series ULTIMATE EXPEDITION

Building on the success of its reality-competition programming, Youtube today announced it has ordered ULTIMATE EXPEDITION, a new adventure competition series hosted by Jukka Hildén. ULTIMATE EXPEDITION takes eight celebrities with no previous climbing experience through the challenge of summiting Mount Tocllaraju in Peru (19,790 feet). The 10 episode series, produced by Rabbit Films, will debut exclusively on Youtube Red in 2018.

In ULTIMATE EXPEDITION, Mount Tocllaraju is not the only mountain the cast is trying to conquer. Each climber has a personal challenge they are hoping to summit. Some are chasing dreams, some are redefining themselves, and some are looking for a spiritual awakening. They will experience elation, anger, and even a bit of comedy, on their way to finding joy as they work to overcome personal obstacles. This expedition is a rare opportunity to isolate themselves from the daily stress of the modern world - and prove that nothing is impossible.

"We're excited to work with Jukka Hildén and Rabbit Films to bring a fresh twist to this reality competition series," said Susanne Daniels, Global Head of Original Content, YouTube. "Viewers love to see their favorite Youtube stars in unique settings, and ULTIMATE EXPEDITION will stretch the cast far beyond their comfort zones in new and unexpected ways. The audience will get to experience the climb by not only watching the series, but through the personal journeys each star will share on their Youtube channels - keeping fans connected each grueling step of the way."

"The STAKES are high, and the risk is even higher, but everyone has an inner drive and motivation to summit the mountain both physically and metaphorically speaking," said Jukka Hildén, Rabbit Films USA President. "There are no second chances. You gotta leave it all on the field. Because here, you're competing against the greatest adversary of them all - yourself. Here, is where true heroes are made."

Jukka Hildén has over 4.6 million Youtube subscribers as the ringleader of the internationally renowned team "The Dudesons," who came to America to share their talents of taking bizarre and awe-inspiring risks with a wider audience. Hildén and his team look to inspire viewers by pushing the boundaries, getting others out of their comfort zone, and encouraging them to face their biggest fears and slay their personal dragons in order to breakthrough their self-imposed barriers to show them that anything is possible.
