Emily King
Thursday, April 13
$25/$28/$32/$35
Emily King is a Grammy®-nominated singer/songwriter born and raised in Manhattan's Lower-East Side. King has toured and played live with Maroon 5, John Legend, Emeli Sande, Alicia Keys, Aloe Blacc, Sara Bareilles and countless others. Her first album, East Side Story, Grammy®-nominated for Best Contemporary R&B Album of the Year. She released her second and most recent album, The Switch, under her own label Making Music Records. King is influenced by roots, pop, soul, and indie music and carefully crafts compositions that serve as a vehicle for her polished, lush vocals.

The Black Lillies
Tuesday, April 25
$18/ $22/ $25 /$28
The Black Lillies' story is one of hard work and highway miles; a story that traces their evolution from a group of friends making music in songwriter and frontman Cruz Contreras' living room into what is now an internationally-renowned band of roots-rockers, armed with songs that blur the boundaries between folk, soul, red dirt country, blues and jazz. Proudly independent since their formation, The Black Lillies were one of the first independent bands to play the Grand Ole Opry and have since returned dozens of times - sharing that stage with big-budget bands and major-label mainstreamers. They've chased down success on their terms, ignoring the trends of Nashville and focusing on a sound that, as Vanity Fair notes, "continues to cross generations and musical genres - country, folk, blues and...a touch of the Dead, for good measure." With a reimagined lineup, new songs and the same dedication to touring, the Lillies continue to sink their roots deep into the Americana landscape

Hal Ketchum
Wednesday, April 26
$18/$20/$22/$25
Five years ago, Hal Ketchum packed up his guitars and left Nashville, turning his back on a successful, 20+ year career in country music. He'd already sold more than five million albums, racking up a half-dozen Top 10 hits, including staples like "Small Town Saturday Night" and "Hearts Are Gonna Roll." But Ketchum was exhausted and his multiple sclerosis, a condition that often left him partially paralyzed, wasn't making matters any easier. He headed back to Texas for some peace, quiet and serious introversion. Now, armed with new stories, new songs and a strong fan base that has stuck with him throughout the years, Ketchum is back to stay. In his most recent album, I'm the Troubadour, Ketchum ditches the country rulebook and tackles a combination of folk, blues and soul music.

Trout Steak Revival with The Railsplitters
Wednesday, May 10
$12/$15/$18/$20
Ever since winning the 2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition, Trout Steak Revival has quickly become a quintessential Colorado band. The band won an Emmy® Award for a soundtrack they contributed to a Rocky Mountain PBS web documentary, they've collaborated with school children in mentoring programs in Denver and Steamboat Springs and their music is featured on Bank of Colorado's radio and television advertisements. Most recently, they were nominated as a Momentum Band of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association. Defined more by expressive songwriting and heartfelt harmonies rather than any one genre, Trout Steak Revival crosses over and blends the bounds of folk, indie, bluegrass and roots, evoking its own style of Americana. With five band members, all contributing unique lyrics, lead vocals, acoustic instrumentation, and harmonies, Trout Steak Revival crafts memorable tunes and delivers them to an energetic fan base that grows hand-in-hand with the band.

Jean-Luc Ponty - The Atlantic Years
Tuesday, June 20
$35/$45/$55/$65
Jean-Luc Ponty is a pioneer and master of violin in the arenas of jazz and rock. He is widely regarded as an innovator who has expanded the vocabulary of modern music. Ponty was born into a family of classical musicians in Avranches, France. At 16, he was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. In turn, he was immediately hired by one of France's major symphony orchestras, Concerts Lamoureux, where he played for three years. While still a member of the orchestra, Ponty picked up a side gig playing for a college jazz band. Fueled by an all-encompassing creative passion, Ponty soon felt the need to express his jazz voice through his main instrument, the violin. He found himself leading a dual musical life: rehearsing and performing with the orchestra while also playing jazz until 3:00 a.m. at clubs throughout Paris. The demands of this schedule eventually brought him to a crossroads. "Naturally, I had to make a choice, so I took a chance with jazz," said Ponty. From the '80s to today Ponty has been recording and touring around the world with his own groups and collaborating with other great musicians. He has performed his music with symphony orchestras in the U.S.A, Canada, Japan, Western and Eastern Europe, Brazil and Russia.

City Winery also announces The Letter 3 opens for M. Ward on Mar. 27, Catherine Irwin of Freakwater opens for M. Ward on Mar. 28, Rick Brantley opens for Shawn Mullins on Apr. 5 and Brett Wiscons opens for Taylor Hicks on May 18.
