The maple breakfast sausage will be a six-to-one-pound (6/1) size about the size of a standard hot dog. It has been approved for sale in the Horticulture Building at the NYS Maple booth. The cost is $3 for a Hofmann Maple Sausage link on a bun. Later, the maple breakfast sausage will become a regularly produced Hofmann food service item after it receives USDA approval, although the size will change to more of a traditional breakfast sausage link (1.5 oz).
