'Emotional Reality: Life in General' Released

E. L. Herd dreamed of getting married and having a family. She succeeded, and although the marriage did not work out, she was gifted with two wonderful sons. As a single parent, she faced many challenges and obstacles. It took a lot of courage, strength and determination. There were also times when she suffered emotionally and physically. With the appreciation love and support of her sons, Herd discovered new talents she did not know she possessed - one of them being poetry.

In her poetry book "Emotional Reality: Life in General" (published by Balboa Press AU), Herd shares some of her personal experiences in an effort to make other sufferers feel not so alone. She believes that unity is a wonderful thing in life, and together, it is possible to find eternal peace.

"My sons and I as a family unit have made it through difficult times," Herd says. "We would like to let others know that they are never alone no matter how challenging life can be at times. It is always encouraging to have support through the power of love."

An excerpt from the poem "Life":

Whatever path we choose to take,
In the end we all have to participate.
No one can force a person against one's will.
With unity, the world would be far from still.
As each person discovers one's strengths,
Nothing's getting in the way of going great lengths.
With the combination of such great powers,
Each day could pass happily by the minutes and hours.
