Rhinoceros is a new adaptation of Eugène Ionesco's landmark play, based on Derek Prouse's seminal translation, directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus. In the play, friends and colleagues begin transforming into rhinoceroses one by one, forcing Berenger to decide whether to follow the crowd or stand his ground. The cast includes John Turturro as Berenger, Paul Giamatti as Jean, Tatiana Maslany as Daisy, Kristine Nielsen, Peter Francis James, Harriett D. Foy, Alex Ross, and Clay Singer. This production marks Paulus's final staging at the Loeb Drama Center before the A.R.T. moves to its new home in Allston.
