2017-Nominated IRNE Jim Dalglish Premieres LINES IN THE SAND

Cotuit Center for the Arts is proud to announce the world premiere of "Lines in the Sand." Written and directed by Jim Dalglish, this suspenseful and hard-hitting contemporary drama tells the story of a bullied high school boy and the man who saves him. The play runs March 9 to 26, 2017 in the Black Box Theater. Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 2 PM

Huntington Theatre Company, Boston's leading professional theatre, announces its 2017-2018 season. The Huntington has long been an anchor cultural institution of Huntington Avenue, the Avenue of the Arts, and will remain so on a permanent basis. The Huntington's upcoming season will include productions in the Huntington Avenue Theatre (known as the BU Theatre through June 30), and plans are underway to convert the theatre into a first-rate, modern venue with expanded services to audiences, artists, and the community. The 36th season will include four plays at the Huntington Avenue Theatre, as well as three plays at the Wimberly Theatre and one special event in the Roberts Studio Theatre, both located in the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA in the South End.

Lost in the fog, a stranger seeks refuge in a nearby house, only to find he's stumbled upon the scene of a murder. When the dead man's wife confesses to the crime, the stranger agrees to provide her with an alibi. But who is he really protecting? Audiences will be mystified as a Pandora's Box of loves and hates, suspicions and intrigues is opened on stage. Agatha Christie's The Unexpected Guest will run for 8 shows only from March 31 - April at Stage 284 at The Community House.
WAM Theatre Announces Limited-Run Remount of EMILE...

WAM Theatre's eighth season continues with the limited run remount of the company's very successful 2013 production of Emilie: La Marquise Du Chatelet Defends Her Life Tonight, written by Lauren Gunderson and directed by WAM Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven, featuring the entire original cast. The production will run from March 30-April 9, 2017, and be presented at Shakespeare & Company's Tina Packer Playhouse in Lenox.

American Repertory Theater Raises Record Amount at 2017 Gala

The Board of Trustees of the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University along withDiane Paulus, A.R.T. Artistic Director, and Diane Quinn, A.R.T. Executive Director, are pleased to announce that the theater's annual gala raised nearly $1.3M in support of the theater's artistic, community, and education programs. The event was held at the Boch Center Wang Theatre on Monday, February 27, 2017 with nearly 500 supporters from Boston, Los Angeles, and New York in attendance.

The questions she raises about faith and forgiveness may be as thorny as the issues considered in H to G, but there's very little sex, no violence, and none of the dysfunctional characters requires an exorcism.
