East Boston Playhouse Announces Upcoming Production of STEEL MAGNOLIAS

By:

The East Boston Playhouse is proud to announce their fifth production, Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling, after a successful January run of The Pink Panther Strikes Again.

Set in a home beauty salon, in a small Louisiana parish, six women bridge the generation gap to become friends and confidants by sharing their joys, fears and opinions, all with a side of Southern gossip. As heartwarming as it is hilarious, Steel Magnolias shows that it's not just "great hair" that's forged in a beauty salon, but bonds that transcend life and death.

With an ensemble cast of talented actresses from East Boston and surrounding communities, Steel Magnolias will grace the stage at the Zumix, 260 Summer Street, Friday, June 9 at 7PM, and Saturday, June 10 at 2PM and again at 7PM. Tickets may be purchased for $10 by visiting the East Boston Playhouse website at www.eastbostonplayhouse.com. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door the day of performance for $12.
