Museum Of Russian Icons Presents St. Petersburg Men's Ensemble ImageAfter a 3-year hiatus, the powerhouse a cappella male quartet from Russia, the St. Petersburg Men's Ensemble, is returning to the Museum of Russian Icons with an all-new program, for a one-night-only performance on Saturday, December 16 at 5:00pm. Since 2003, the St. Petersburg Men's Ensemble has shared their musical gifts, warmth and humor with audiences around the globe. Their repertoire encompasses various musical periods and styles, from ancient Russian chants to chorales of Western and East European masters to modern contemporary.

The group's four previous concerts at the Museum have sold out, so audience members are encouraged to get tickets early for this engaging and memorable event. Tickets are $30, $25 for members, 978.598.5000 x121 for reservations.

The St. Petersburg Men's Ensemble, which includes the talents of Kirill Sokolov, Sergey Shapinsky, Vadim Smanster, and Andrei Volikov, has been performing in churches and concert halls throughout the world for the past 14 years. The Ensemble's concerts reflect their culture and heritage, with a balance of sacred songs by Russian composers and Russian folk songs. The members of the group bring extensive training and experience to the presentation as they have attended the Glinka Choir School and the St. Petersburg Conservatory. They have sung with many choirs including the State Academic Capella and the Choir of Smolny Cathedral. For more information about the group, visit www.spme.normal.ru.
